The Calm Teacher Club isn’t about becoming a better teacher. It’s about becoming a better you.
After 12 years in the classroom, I know exactly what it feels like to be stretched thin. The planning, the student needs, the emotional ups and downs…it’s all a lot. When physical symptoms led to an autoimmune diagnosis, I began connecting the dots between my stress and my body and realized that teaching was taking a real toll on my health.
Shortly after, another health concern reminded me how short life is, and I knew it was time to create a life I truly loved.
What began as a one-year leave to focus on my wellbeing and grow my TPT store turned into four years of exploring the world and working remotely in places like Bali, Sri Lanka, and Cape Town. Along the way, I immersed myself in yoga trainings, meditation retreats, and practices that helped me feel calm, present, and grounded.
The more I learned, the more I wanted to share specifically with teachers. I know the daily pressures, the stress that follows you home, and how it can wear on your health. You give so much, often in ways no one else notices.
